Had a rather bad winter - a total loss in the yard - lost 3 to CCD - and two to a wind storm. Makes me so sad to see froxen bees .   I'll keep beekeeping till I run out of money.  This is year 30 and I've never seen the like of the last few years.   The trouble on my hilltop heaven began when a large scale beekeeper who does almond pollenation placed some hives on a neighbor's property.  From that time on losses have been astronomical.  Is there a connection?   I can't wait for spring honeyflow!  I need the calm of the girls humming for solitude.
