A 3 inch wide skirt with rabbeted corners makes these lids heavier and harder to blow off. 3/8" plywood with a cover of .019 white aluminum forms a weatherproofing top. This aluminum is prebent with a 1" drop on the sides and overlapping tabs on the corners to prevent leaking.
